In this class you will learn how to make a hollow formed ring with a textured surface. This hollow ring project demonstrates the fabrication of a shell structure which is a type of construction employed frequently in goldsmithing and silversmithing.
You will be taken through the fabrication process step by step including forming, how to texture and various finishing techniques. It's also a great class for honing your soldering skills.
The hollow form process enables you to create a nice chunky ring that is light and comfortable to wear.
Sundries such as solder and saw blades are included in the course fees. Metals, findings and a variety of stones are available for purchase at the school or feel free to bring your own to work with.
