Box Clasp Class

This course will run if there is enough registered interest. If you would like to attend please visit our booking site by tapping on the DATES & BOOKING button and add your contact details to our waiting list for this course.

In this class you will learn how to make a box clasp. You will be taken through the fabrication process step by step to a completed independent clasp that can be customised to suit your project.

The versatility of this fastening means you can use the closure as a centre piece or concealed within the design.

This is a technical exercise perfect for honing your precision skills as it requires precise measuring, cutting, filing and soldering.

At the end of the class you will have a completed box clasp and a good understanding of the mechanism enabling you to design your own closures for a variety of projects including necklaces, lockets, boxes and hinged bracelets.

Sundries such as solder and saw blades are included in the course fees. Metals, findings and a variety of stones are available for purchase at the school or feel free to bring your own to work with.
