Our advanced level casting for jewellery course introduces students to the intricacies of casting and wax carving. We cover the sand casting technique which is achievable in-studio and explore commercial manufacturing methods with specialist casting companies.
You will also learn how to craft masters in a variety of materials including wax, enabling versatility in your casting processes. Whether you’re creating unique pieces, incorporating stones with sand casting or producing batches of identical items through commercial casting, this course equips you with the essential skills for artistic expression and production efficiency.
Following an overview of the processes students will have the opportunity to design and produce their own pieces. As this is an advanced course students will be expected to have an idea of the work they wish to produce using these techniques and apply it to their own designs with guidance from the course tutor.
This course is for experienced makers only with an intermediate to advanced level of competence. All our advanced courses are designed to further develop your skills.
