Would you like to try making a silver leaf pendant? This morning taster session introduces basic traditional silver jewellery making techniques. The class is perfect for beginners with little or no jewellery making experience.
Over the 3 hours you will use a range of tools and techniques to complete your piece. You will cut out your shapes from silver sheet with a piercing saw, use a rolling mill to assist with texturing process and solder silver using a jeweller’s torch.
We run a very friendly and relaxed workshop, all our taster classes offer a gentle learning curve for beginners to start making silver jewellery and try something new. If you’re completely new to jewellery making and unsure if a beginner term might be too much of a time investment to find out if you enjoy working in silver, a taster class is worth considering.
This course is suitable for beginners. No previous experience making jewellery is necessary to enrol on this course.
Cost includes silver for making the leaf, optional chain sold separately if required. Silver chain can be purchased from the school on the day of your class.
