Course Overview

On our flush settings workshop you will learn how to flush set a stone. We demonstrate two different flush setting techniques. We encourage students to experiment with both and find which one works best for them.

Using the first method students will create a stylish and sleek flush set pendant. This incorporates drilling, burring and rubbing the metal over the stones.

The second method is slightly more technical where we teach you how to prepare a secure seat within the metal. This helps to create a professional setting and finish. You will create one or more flush set stones on a curved ring shank to practice this technique.

What is a flush setting?

Flush settings are a modern and elegant way to set faceted round stones. The stone drops into the metal with the table of the stone flush with the surface of the metal.

Course Schedule

Our one day courses generally run throughout the year on a weekend and week days during the summer holidays.
